A community gastronomy project

Welcome to the Ari Ugüenrien Project a community gastronomy project in the Ngäbes indigenous region on the Caribbean side of Panama. Our goal is to rescue and preserve the rich Ngäbe culture through gastronomy, promoting sustainable practices and fostering local development.

Our Mission

To strengthen the cultural identity of the Ngäbe community and promote sustainable development that benefits women and their families, preserving our traditions for future generations.

Our Vision

To be a model of community empowerment and a reference point in promoting indigenous culture through gastronomy, creating bonds between the community and the world.

Fifteen Ngäbe indigenous women
from the community of Río Caña.
